These macro photographs were taken with three different methods. The first is a "disposable" digital camera from CVS Pharmacy. I successfully hacked the camera to allow me to download the images onto my computer and reuse the one-time camera using www.camerahacking.com. I was able to get these macro images by opening the camera and adjusting the lens's focal length to be as close as possible, a process also described on camerahacking.com. The second method was simply placing my DSLR lens backwards on the camera body and holding it there for a photo. I focused by moving closer or further from the subject. The third method is essentially an extension tube, which brings the lens further away from the camera body. However, by Katie's suggestion, I used a toilet paper tube as the extension tube.
